Systems-based practice involves understanding and responding to the complexities of the healthcare system to provide safe, high-quality, and equitable care. Nurses play an important role in coordinating care and resources while working within interdisciplinary teams to meet the needs of diverse patient populations. Through my clinical experiences, I have begun to recognize how communication and collaboration are essential in navigating the healthcare system and improving patient outcomes.

I have also seen how factors such as access to care, insurance, and available resources can impact the quality and continuity of care patients receive. An area for growth for me is building confidence in coordinating care across different settings and taking on more leadership responsibilities. Moving forward, I will continue to strengthen these skills by improving communication and advocating for patients to ensure safe and equitable care.
